FD versus Heavy POWERFUL CARS

just want to know, if an FD that has about 275HP can beat cars like HONDA-300hp, Supra-300-350hp, Mustang 400hp, some car 400hp?? i don't know if this is a stupid question but my cuzin just installed 100shot NOS into his Stang and he said its running around 400hp now and he REALLY REALLY wants to kill my car on DRAG or FREEWAY (my car FD3S maybe 275hp stock twins and stock boost). he's been WANTING to kill a 7 because he never had EVER EVER, he said he got whooped BAD i mean BAD many many times by a 7 and he wants revenge so he picked my almost stock FD

what do you guys think? im not scared or nothin but just want to know if i stand a chance or should i do some mod first

u can look at my page below to see my mods

Dang you REALLY NEED that PFC!!!

Get the PFC, and the proper mods (injectors and ****) then tune it to a higher boost. 14psi or so. And you should be fine. **** even if your not just wait till he runs out of happy juice

dont worry about it twinturboteddy, he shouldn't have been insulted...if "crazyflipcarlo" is filipino (by reference to his board name)...he definately knows english perfectly well.

he may not know pulp fiction, but he knows english. a lot of filipinos think its cool to talk a bastardized form of ebonics. but, take it from me, 100% of filipinos in the US (or who've went through grammer school in the phillipines) know english perfectly well. accents, on the other hand, is another matter...

of course all this assumption hinges on his ethnicity but i checked out that cardomain site...and im pretty sure im safe.

just my 2 cents.

crazyflipcarlo, take it to the strip, stay off the roads...dont kill me.

He's on the bottle getting 400HP? Please...tell him to race a mildly modded FD. We can make 400HP safely all day long...and we weigh 700lbs less. How is racing a stock FD a fair fight? Get intake/exhaust and an ECU and go beat his domestic POS.

I guess it would depend on the year mustang, and the condition of your FD. My clutch was smoked when i went to the track and could barely beat stock times...there are a lot of variables

No way you're making 275 to the Wheels stock, a brand new FD doesn't make 250 to the wheels, it makes that to the flywheel, so maybe 210-220 to the wheels, and you think that your mods give you another 50 hp !? Without turning up the boost... not likely...

My Advice, save some money go single, then beat his *** all day long, untill then tell him you're not ready, and you feel it's an uneven match if he's modded and you're not...

Well he's already done plenty of stuff to build boost so without a boost controller its somewhat of a wonder that the engine is still alive (maybe something is wrong with it so it isn't making all the boost it should with the mods he listed so its not blowing up).

Get a boost controller/gauge, get a PFC or something else to improve your fuel management before you end up as one of the "unreliable 13B" engines out there.

Bolt-on HP for rotary is pretty much a bolt-on explosion without more fuel.

It still takes time to tune...I am fully aware that it takes 5-10 minutes to swap ECUs.

Yeah.. I guess they trust the base maps for "turning up the boost".

Fvck that, I don't trust ANYTHING that comes pre-tuned.
