oil pan

i have a leak in the back of my oil pan by the motor mounts. what would be the best way to fix it is there a gasket i can get i have not taken it off yet b/c i just got the motor back in the car and running last week.

just try tightening the bolts for now, clean the area and wait and see...i just did the same and the leak stoped

i have already done that and i have had the leak for about 3 years but the car was down for 2 years just got it back together ad noticed the leak again

take the pan off, remove the gasket, and use sealant only when reinstalling the pan. i'm also in the process of trying to stop an oil leak...i feel your pain

There's more you need to consider though. Your motor mount(s) are probably bad which means that after all that work to fix the leak it will happen again. So, you might want to think about replacing the mounts at the same time and also check out A-spec's heavey duty pan, might be worth the $$. A torque brace or damper will also help you motor mounts live a longer life too.
