Oil metering lines

I found where my huge leak is coming from. Everytime I'm boosting, oil is pissing just below the water pump.
I'm positive that it is one of my oil metering lines.

Could some care to share their experience in regards to replacing them...

Thanks

Kind of a pain in the ***!!! They run from the OMP pump on the pass side of the engine, under the water pump to the drivers side next to the vacuum chamber, then switch back under the alternator and thence under the ENTIRE rats nest. Further, to remove the oil distribution nozzles, I found I needed to have the ENTIRE intake manifold off AND the primary injectors removed to really get at them. Thus, the turbos needed to come away as well.

But then, I replaced them when I swapped out the old engine for the new.

I'm sure others have not needed to pull all that crap, but I'm having a hard time thinking how...

Here's my pic of the horror...

How 'bout the ACV? I guess I was thinking it would be easier to get the angle on those little suckers if the LIM was off, but as long as the ACV is out of the way, then off you go...

Ryan's right, I'm probably exaggerating it a little, but still a battle royale!

if you can find where the lines are cracked just cut away the black material and put a silicone vac line where the crack is and attatch them

you guys are crazy you don't need to take off all that stuff just uim and anything else that permits you from seeing the top of the engine block

I'm not sure how they come off from the the engine though so maybe primary injectors.

try what I said first. and even if you cant find where its leaking I would just leave it and premix and check oil level often if the leak isnt too bad.

silicone and oil do not mix. Viton, maybe, but silicone? Snook - you know better.....

Although I give you a 10 for creative thinking!

dammit ron you know what a mean!!

ok gago if its gushing out oil after you boost I'm afraid you have the oil pan gasket leak. The oil metering pump doesn't inject that much oil to be gushing out. Really sounds like the problem I just had with the oil pan.

We saw the leak just below the water pump.... right where the oil lines are tucked in.

My friend had similar systems and we thought it was the OMP lines as well. However, it ended up being his front cover that was leaking. So I would check that before you go pulling stuff off. You might try running some pre-mix and disconnecting the OMP and see if the leak stops, if it does then it is probably your lines if it isn't then it may be your front cover.

What? Actually use OEM parts to fix something - you must be kidding!

why so they can get brittle and crack ?

I was just saying it could be a temp fix until he needs to do something else on the motor so he can do 2 things at once. I'm almost 100% possitive it's not the OMP lines so we don't have to worry about it : )

If you had the means to bend brake line tubing to the exact shape, would that work?
