I would not bother pulling the upper manifold, I don't think you are going to find much with that off. Save yourself some time and work.

I know I have the oil pan leak and I have oil all over my undercarriage.

How did you discover this leak? Was there a lot of smoke coming from the turbo area? It's kind of difficult to make out much from the photos.

Well, one of my oil supply pipes to the turbo split once - so it could be those. They're quite easy to get to once you take off some of the inlet pipes.

However the turbos look like they may be leaking from other places. How many miles have they done?

On my car it's the passenger side engine mount. It bolts through the oil pan and that is where it leaks. A shop removed the pan and resealed everything. It didn't leak for 6 months, but it's leaking again. I just live with it. If I ever rebuild an engine I'm going to do something about that oil pan nonsense.

I think air flow will spatter the oil up into the engine parts, at least it seems to on mine. I'll clean it all off with a pressure washer (car up on jackstands) and then after a week of slow speed driving (yeah, sure) when I check it it's definatly the motor mount, and no oil from engine parts above.

Mine only drips on the ground overnight, and no noticable loss of oil over time when checking the level, so it's not too bad.

^same here... and i have the exact same drip pattern. its all on the foward subframe and some along the underbelly. it doesnt smoke though, and oil loss is minimal. i had my oil pan resealed about 9months ago then the leak started again. i'll check the passenger side engine mount this weekend to see if thats the source.

It looks like your oil supply line to the turbo is leaking.
I had the same problem before and the oil dropped onto the precat and smoked alot. It was the copper crush washer (gasket) at the turbo housing.
I replaced it and the leak went away.
It is quite hard to access, but if you take out the intake pipes, air pump and y-pipe, you can get to it.

Good luck.

did that leak resemble a pan gasket leak? did the oil spread all over the subframe b/c of airflow? my car doesnt smoke, but ive noticed alittle bit of residue on my DP.

Thats a good guess take off your intake pipes and take a look down there.

i had the same problem like that, first of do you get white smoke while driving? if not your safe, like what the other guy said, it should be the oil line, check it out and replace it ASAP!! if you are getting the symptoms, i recomend that you check everything immediately..

DO NOT tighten the bolts. It will make problem worse by crushing the already damaged gasket. The oil pan bolts require very little torque according to specs. I have heard great things about Gotham's oil pan brace.
