Oil leakage somewhere?

Everytime i park my car in the garage after Ive driven it, I find a small puddle of oil on the ground. It seems to be coming from above the trnsmission. Right where it hooks up to the block. Cant follow it anymore than that. ny suggestions? Is it my OMP?

The OMP is in the front of the block.

could be your rear main seal

if it is running down driver's side of tunnel, could also be leaking from the oil filter mount o-rings

The rear oil line from the oil cooler might be the prob. See if there is any oil on the fitting.

The second prob might be the oil filter. Chk to see if it is on correctly.

The third might be the seal rings under the oil filter adapter.

The fourth..it might just be that your front tranny seal is leaking.

Last.....your main rear bearing might be leaking.....oh no.

Im thinking its the front tranny seal. The oil is all over my cross member bar. Have to jack the car up higher and check it out more.
Hopefully its the tranny seal, because im about to replace the tranny. Any symptoms of the rear bearing going?

You can put some dye in the oil filler neck to locate the oil leak. Mazda Dealership will do it for you, however, I strongly suggest you stay away from them. Take it to Pettitracing.com

Have you chkd your oil level? If you noticed that the rate of comsumption is higher...then it is an engine prob...If the color of the oil is reddish...then it is your tranny.

Well, if you're removing the tranny anyway, replacing the rear main seal (o-ring, not bearing) is not that big a deal. There is a "view port" to look up into that area, if the flywheel and seal area look dry, it's not the rear main seal.
