Oil Leak - 37K??

How is it that I am leaking oil from one of my turbos when I only have 37k miles?
Are these seals known to go at any time? I wasn't expecting to have to change them this soon in the game. and if i change one, should I change the other? Thanks in advance.

It really depends on how they were treated. What psi were they run at, for example?

And you can't just swap one turbo.

If you are not the original owner then milage does not count. As you do not know the real history of the car.

I guess, it's just the car was babied from the looks of it, but you're right. It's a very very small leak, so what exactly is that doing to my engine overall? pressure?
performance? etc

If you are talking about an external leak,ie drops on the floor,it is tough to diagnose in that area.A leaking rear main seal can result in oil all over the area of the secondary turbo.
Obviously an internal leak is easier to diagnose.

Well it seems to be coming from the brass compression fitting on the rear side of the turbo. I am not a complete wiz yet, this is just what I saw when I was trying to remove the dp.

Well, that's good news - it means the turbos themselves are probably fine!
