Oil in intake manifolds, why?

Did an renovation on my engine, runing single turbo.

Went to the dyno last week. Worked great.

Got the car home, and now it doesnt run proparly. It sounds like it´s not firing on all plugs.

Started looking around today, took of the uper intake manifold. And theres oil in there, and there´s oil all the way to the throttle body. But theres only oil in the smaller runners in the intake.

So whats gone wrong this time?

I´m just so tired....

oil in the intake = leaky turbos

it starts out with just a little...gets worse as your turbos go bad.

i just had to buy a set of twins off someone because mine were spitting insane amounts of oil

He's on a single turbo. But it is possible the turbo is blowing some oil. Pull the tube to the intercooler and if there is oil between your turbo and intercooler then your turbo has a problem.

Another source could be the PCV.

Most likely cause of this (if you have new single turbo) is the pcv. Check to make sure you don't have it backwards... Might be a good time to run a catch can. I had the same exact problem.

PVC?

Should the engine run badly because of that?

Positive crankcase ventilation. Blowby gases create pressure in the oil pan, and the excess pressure is vented to the manifold to burn off the hydrocarbons. A bad PCV could act like a vacuum leak which would make your car run bad. A catch can wouldn't be a bad idea.
