oil injectors, vacuum boost? solenoids?

according to the hose routign diagram the oil injectors are connected to the intake side of the turbo and to the prespool and wastegate actuator solenoids. does anyone know the way the oil injectors work? if they need vacuum or boost to work or both? and why do the prespool and wastegate actuator solenoids connect to them?

OIL PRESSURE.

If you could get air filter's small enough to put on them...then that would work. They work on neither boost nor vacuum but rather Oil pressure.

Oil injectors are acuated by vacuum, but inject by oil pressure.

Okay, then my question is:

Why did Dragon's car SURVIVE for two years at 400 rwhp with ONLY a vacuum hose running to both of the oil injectors AND putting on it appx. 20,000 kilometers per year? Safe to say that you don't need the actuator's

Good point, and so I opened up the big fat green manual, to see what it says. Well, I don't know what to say. Without holding it in my hand all it looks like is a check valve. The oil lines come in through the side, and the vacuum line plugs into the top. I retract my statement that it's an actuator. It looks to me that the oil jet is aided by boost conditions. I'm removing mine soon, so I'll get back to you on this.

Possibly a one way valve? I don't know, but I removed mine as well and a bunch of us Okinawa people did and the cars run fine...

I think Igy cut one of these opened and figured out that they only work on oil pressure..

Maybe that is why 2ng gens bont blow like 3rd gen turbo motors? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Maybe that is why Mazda remans come with new oil injectors (in the block) and "connecting bolts".

The Oil Injection METERING is done by the OMP not the "INJECTORS" - the injectors just Atomize the oil, and the AIR that flows to the injector ports improves the distribution of the atomized oil along the apex seals. On the 13b-rew the Air injecton at the Oil Injectors improved oil distribution so much that the amount of oil injected was reduced by 30-40% in the Lo-Mid load ranges.
