oil filter sandwich adaptor plate and water temp sensor adaptor for FD?

I am planning to instal Defi advance CR gauges and need an oil filter sandwich adaptor plate and water temp adaptor. Racing Beat has an oil filter sandwich adaptor but says it doesnt fit up to FD due to fitment issues, and has their water temp sensor adaptor listed for rx8. Anyone have a solution?

Check glowshift gauges. They have a sandwich and they have something that fits between coolant hoses that takes a temp sender unit. I've been happy with my stuff. 0 leaks so far.

You can check to see if Re-Speed is making any more of their pedestal replacements:

I forgot to mention, the glowshift one has 2 ports for oil pressure and oil temp.

I bought a cheap one from ebay with 2 sensor ports - works ok but it does require using a slightly smaller oil filter.

Yeah, tell me about it.

The last time I bought oil filters I forgot about the size issue, and the std filter would not fit. I think I am using Miata filters.

SARD makes a nice one, 2 ports. I use K&N oil filters and they look like same size as OEM. No fitment issues. I like the K&N because besides being a good filter you can use a 21mm socket and extension to remove them, which makes oil changes a breeze.

I've had my SARD adapter on there for at least 2 years and have had zero problems.

it can go wrong but it's usually realiable; as for my experience, i used a sandwich adapter from ebay and had no fitment issues with the stock filter.

+1 on the Re-Speed. I bought one four years ago. No problems with fitment, threads for the oil filter, or the sensor ports. Plus the base for the oil filter is wider than stock allowing for a larger filter.

I wouldn't say so. My oil pressure gauge worked but it read differently than what was in my oil filter pedastal. The stock one lagged and seemed less active somehow.

They're so old and the pedastal is such an easy install, I don't see why you should chance it. Plus, if you get a newer spec cluster, they don't have oil pressure on it anymore.

Yep, I just ordered a pedestal from re-speed and will ship to me next Wednesday. I'm going to be installing a 99 spec cluster which does away with the stock oil pressure gauge so I finally get to install the defi d oil pressure and and oil temp gauges.
