Oil catch can

I purchased an oil catch can where do you hook this up? I was going to disconect the line from the middle housing nipple and just run it straight to the catch can. I was just going to leave the original line hang? T it off?

Pics? Ideas?

Thanks in advance...

I have never used one yet on any turbo car I've owned. Do people really feel they're necessary?

Yep, and your turbos/tubo sucks all of that acid dirty crap in and forces it back thought the IC into the intake. You can also refuse to run air filters and suck in dirt if you wish as some do.

Doe not make it correct. But this is America where you are allowed to be less than smart.

^ LMAO! couldnt of said that better

To the op's question.
Run one off the oil filler neck, a respeed or zeeshan neck will have ports to do so.
And if your not running the twins I always run a line off the rear turbo oil return line to a catch can as well.
If your using a vented cant then one or both lines can go into the tank. But if your using a non vented tank with two ports like the cusco cans then you have to merge the two lines into one port and then the other port goes to the intake tube to the turbo.

Don't bother unless you track the car. If you track it, every car is different, but you'll probable need it.

I never tracked my car. Yet the sloppy side seal clearances done by my previous builder, coupled with the damage done to my irons (presumably in the same shop), led to such an excessive amount of blowby in two (freshly built) engines. I could EASILY fill a large catch can in a tank of gas, even if I was gently cruising on the highway.

I think the worst I had was filling a can in less than 50 miles of spirited driving on the way to work/home one day.

For some background:
Triple-R: JAZ Pint Oil Catch Can Install
And my latest (note this is necessary due to running 285/30ZR18 Hoosiers on the track - street cars may not need something this large):
Triple-R: Catch Can Part Deux
HTH,
Crispy

PS: Pete - fix your sig - your RWHP number is too low

Chris,
On the oil can set up with the line coming out of the oil cap did you leave the stock PVC valve and the rest of the stock system connected?

Thanks

No. That would defeat the purpose of having a catch can. Having a catch should be to stop the oil being slung into the intake system and fouling your entire intake tract and filling up your IC.

crispy

Don't order anything from RE-speed! They will take your money and never talk to you again.

There's a group buy going on for IRP SS oil necks.

There's one with a single -10 fitting and one with 2 -6s. This is pretty much a must for a proper catch can setup
