o2 sensor feedback+PFC.. Delete o2?

Just another reason why i love the PFC..

K. I went on a 800 mile road trip from Virginia Beach, Va To Mrytle Beach,SC and back. When i returned home i noticed that during cruising speeds and under light throttle my car's IDC (injector Duty Cycle) was bouncing from say 15% to 10% back and fourth, This was causing the car to have a surging feel to it. Also noted that the idle became slightly rough and the rpms would drop to near 400RPM's during some stops. After debating to myself on what the problem could be i narrowed it down to the o2 Sensor. Now ... The 02 only functions (Well, the ECU only takes into consideration the 02 during cruising and idle) during cruising and idle. So i went into the PFC and disabled the 02 sensor and wallaa, smooth idle and my crusing surge was gone. Now taking into consideration what i wrote above, Is the 02 sensor even needed when you have a PFC? Seeing how the PFC uses Maps when it is under load or WOT i don't see why the 02 is even needed. (Besides fuel economy and maybe emissions)

Now, I dont have a problem with spending the 20 bucks to buy a new O2, but if i don't have to then im not .. SO all that being said. What is you're take on this? What are the negative side effects? Slightly less fuel economy? Or extremely poor?

I haven't used my o2 for 3 months or so with the PFC and I get about 12-14 mpg average, but I also dont drive like a puss.

My mods are full exhaust, ASP large IC, intake hard piping and K&N dual filters, BUR9EQPs all around, 8mm wires, and thats about it for motor wise

Im actually going to use the o2 bung on the DP for a wideband

I had the same surging problems with my car. I will try turning off the o2 feedback and see how it drives.

You do not need an o2 sensor with the PFC. In fact, disabling the o2 feedback and tuning the cruise areas for your desired afrs will result in as good or better fuel economy and no surging.

I have my O2 sensor disabled, and get 24-26 MPG on the highway.

Full intake, exhaust, pipes, intercooler and streetported engine.

i fucked upp my 02 so it no longer works,, car runs as before, but vent from 1.3-1.4 to 1.9l of fuel per 10km,, and the gas here costs about 1.5$per liter so its sucking my wallet dry..
im deffinetly getting a new o2
allmost 2l per 10k at nonboost cruising is just to much, used to get 0.95 before
