normal coolant temps
normal coolant temps
i did a search, i think i found that 90-95 is somewhat normal around town on hot days or on the road. but nothing definative. i ran about 190 to just ubder 200 on a highway drive (F). the pfc said 93 or so, it would go up as speed increased, but never over 96*c. id just like to get some insight on this. thanks,

You can find someone with a datalogit to turn your fans on sooner or do like I'm doing until I do that--turn on the A/C and keep your temp selector and air speed selector where ever you want...The A/C switch kicks the fans on and your car should run around 82-85C...But your temps are ok but I like them to stay around 80-90C!
Those seem fine to me.
Right now in this cool weather (today was 43 degrees), i tried boosting about 2 or 3 times and my temp gauge wouldnt even budge 170F. However when i shut down, it rose of course. But even in the summer, with the FMIC, my gauge wouldnt break 200F unless i boosted.

I drove up to York, Pa yesterday from DC to break in the new motor, I have a new Koyo installed, and the hottest it ever got was 84 C, mainly stayed at 83C and didn't move.
With the stocker rad, it normally ran about 95-98C
