Is this normal? (boost related)

When I boost it up in 2nd gear up to like 5k. I get full boost, then if i change gear to 3rd, i get around 5 psi and it takes forever to boost up to 10.

It sounds like it's staying in secondary turbo and won't go back to primary. This only happens if i change gears around like 5 or 5500.

I think i saw a thread about something similiar like this but i can't find it.

Please let me know if i'm soppose to replace something or check it.

Thanks

about what rpm are you at in 3rd after the shift?

I would think it isn't normal, boost should build back up real quick on the primary alone.

I'm not sure, but i think it's around 3500 or 4k. Just before secondary should kick in.

well, it seems like somthing is failing, as I had that before when I had my boost leak. maybe somthing is sticking open that only is activated after the secondary comes online, causing air to leak out when its not supposed to.

Yes my post was worthless. lol

After 4500 rpm you're getting boost from both turbos. Once both are producing boost, you don't go back into "sequential" mode until your rpms drop below about 3000. If your shift takes you to about 3250 rpm or so, you would be trying to spool both turbos at low rpm, which your setup may not be powerful enough to do. Try shifting at about 7k and see what happens.

Or you could have a boost problem. Do the standard boost test in a few gears.

Well when i shift at 7k or 6500, everything is fine then. I get 10-8-10-8. But when i change around 5k, that's when it happens.
