hey guys ok i have a question,

well this car is my 1st turbo car, so bare with me if i sound dumb.

when i got the car i notticed a wistling sound whenever i acelerated (thinking its turbos?) well i cant remeber if it started from right when i take of or like around 4
k rpms, cause now i only nottice it at like 4-5K rmps. what would that mean? just that i never drove a turbo car so i dont know much, other then what ive been reading since i got the car.

everything is stock in the car incase that helps besides the rebult motor for the seals

 

does your car have a downpipe or is it the stock pre cat?

 

I would think that you heard it when the car was new to you because it is 'new input.' Now you are used to it, so it does not attract your attentions as early.

 

Get a boost gauge so you can verify boost pattern, but yes, turbos do whistle/whine when fully spooled. You can hear this much easier after installation of a downpipe.

i would take it to a mazda dealership but there none locally, close one is about and hour to 1.5 hours away, but i think its fine, just like what was stated above since it was new to me but just wanted to make sure
