Non sequntial info?

ok so questions about non-sequntial, if i decide to do it, i would greatly appreciate some pointers in direction of good info on how to do it, basically i have secondary boost issues i'm tracking down, i really don't drive hard, very little milage will be put on car this year, planning to do engine rebuild & possibly single setup this winter, i just am not a fan of all the rats nest ****. by the time i track down my secondary problem, & find parts my season will be over. work keeps getting in the way of me repairing my car lol. so any pros/cons, tips, advise i'm all ears, thanks, o-yea i have full exhaust, intake, stock ecu, as long as i keep boost down it would be alright on stock ecu right?

actually a good non-sequential write-up isn't the easiest to find on here.

Go rich mans non seq and save the money that you would have spent on a single set up . Two small turbos spool faster than one big one .

rich mans u actually remove the flapper and weld the turbos and is not reversable.. thats how mine are.. poor mans the flapper is wired open and all that good stuff.. its more restrictive than the rich mans way.. i heard poor mans wont spool till well into 4000rpm, rich mans somewhere in the 3000 range..

i beleive poor mans required the use of coat hangers and wires to wire up solenoids open, and just unplugging vacuum lines and capping them from the appropriate connections. Rich man is the whole nine yards, block of plates/welding rerouting and removing vacuum hoses. i dont think any coat hangers are involved in the rich man way. least thats my take on it. i may be wrong.

If you are planning on doing non-seq you have to do it properly. You will need a PowerFC to do it properly. You will also need to disassemble the turbos to have the wastegate ported.

am i wrong in thinking i can run on stock ecu if i keep boost at 10psi or under? the car will be getting a pfc no matter what i do to it, but for now i would like to try the non sequntial if possible on stock ecu, i will remove/weld etc to do it right, just the matter of time, by the time i get the pfc, install it & find someone in canada to tune it my season will be over, rebuild this winter, decide if non sequntial or single is my route, then another tune. just not sure how easy it's going to find a good tuner here in canada. so if i keep boost under control will i be ok for awhile? thanks. i guess while i'm here i should ask how long it usually takes to remove the turbo setup?

My rich mans non seq mod involves porting the waste gate and reshsping the turbo ports, welding close all prespool ports and holes for the trap doors ,fixing cracks milling the center section so the waste gate will open more plus some more .It requires over 1and 1/4 lbs of welding rods and 15 to 20 hours work . Customers must send the manifold and the other three cast iron parts to do the job .

Hey Garco,

When filling in the pre-spool ports and reshaping the ports do you use the standard MIG to fill in the areas? I just bought a bunch of 750T.093 99% nickel rod and plan on using the TIG process for everything. I was wondering if you found it easier to just use a MIG to fill in the ports?

I am using a stick ni cad rod to do the job .I have Mig but to fill in the large volume the rod is faster . I may go to the Mig if I get larger rods that will work on the castings .

You'd think someone would make a part for people who are rich and don't want to weld and other dirty stuff.

Gotcha. Well I am going to attempt making some block off plates and get the torch in that tight area and TIG weld everything. Hope everything works out

Heidihi If you can send me a bunch of pictures then if any thing is needed I can tell you . The manifold both turbo hOt sides and the center section get work .So pictures of all four parts are needed .
