non-seq, only 4 psi?

when i went driving all i could get was 4 psi. i have an air bleed valve for a boost controller and i couldnt get it to move. but heres a curve ball. i noticed that it was running lean so i stopped boosting after two times and when i got back and looked for that prob. i found that the fpr line had actually melted in two!!! would this have anything to do with low boost, or do i need to look for something else? thanks for all the help, scott

how can i be sure that the door is open. which way should the lever on the outside of it be facing when open, thanks for the help, scott
p.s. i installed silicon vacume hoses on it that sucked royal ***. after drving it up the street and back they had become soft a squishy and lost shape and the fpr line had melted in half

You can look under the back side of the pass. tire to check if your holding methods are still on there. The actuator should be as far as it can go towards the nose of the car. If nothing is holding it the door can swing closed when you accelerate.

ok well heres the latest. i replaced all my vacume lines again, so they should all be fine now. i can still get nothing above about 5 psi. i hear the turbos spooling and its a lound whine type of noise. no matter if i have the home depot boost controller almost all the way down i get the same boost. i checked the y pipe and intercooler couplings but no splits or cracks. i cant seem to find any thing wrong on why it wont build boost. please, any help will be greatly appriciated, thanks, scott

Are you running it up to redline?

I thought I was getting no boost, I would take the car out for a spin and get on it...and nothing...around 3700rpm i would get 4-5psi....but by the time i got to redline...a full 15psi baby! Yea!

The lag is considerable with non-seq....just making sure you're aware of this.

Also be sure to check that you removed both vacuum hoses from the charge control.

Make sure you didn't confuse the wastegate solenoid and the pre-control solenoid. The pre-control (one on the left, should be the lines to remove). This is something to easily get confused.
