Check all of your harness connections. Sounds to me like they may have gotten disconnected somewhere in the paint/repair process and someone forgot to reconnect one or more of them.

Just a hunch

hmm think maybe the alarm has to do something with it? Because my alarm was working before. My lights would flicker when i un-locked and lockd the car but now that doesn't happen and my doors don't open with the alarm key pad..

Durring the process of moving your car in and out of the bay at the body shop, they may have flooded the engine. Some cars will flood if you just start the engine and shut it off in a short amount of time. That doesn't explain the on odometer reading. Check your fuses, if you do any kind of welding without disconnecting battery, you may blow some fuses. Just a guess.

Oh, if that's an after market alarm, it may have disabled the car when someone disconnects the battery (first thing you do when you start body work).

it is an after market alarm. I checked all fuses, checked for flooding those were the first things i checked. All fuses were ok so none blown. I have disconected my battery before and the alarm has never done anything like this. like re-set it's self so the the car won;t start.

yeah everything comes on. all lights everything the only thing that does not come on is the odo reading whcih it did previously. As in it's completly black not a number nothing! and it was working fine before, but also the alarm does not work now? I asked my stereo-alarm installer not the one that installed this alarm. This one came with the car and he said they may have taped into the power for the odo meter reading so if the alarm has no power the odo metter reading will not have power? make sense?

tell the body shop about it..if any bills occur out of it..hand the bills to them..they are the one's who screwed it up..I took my car for a safety inspection,(not a 7)..mechanic changed a CV boot ..I drive the car 30 miles and the axle pops out of the transmission..I took them the bill..they paid up..see if you can get the original installer of the alarm,to get specifics..and go back to the shop and ask what exactly did they do to the car..my $.02

I've done it before. It's either the blue or the white connector over by the ecu. ON the engine harness, where it terminates.

left it loose before...not fully plugged in.

It is not a wire, but a gang plug with several wires. They each run several functions.
