I took my car out racing and I noticed that it doesn't make any power over 5k rpms. It just sorta hesitates like it wants to go faster but doesn't... any ideas?

Going to need more information. Boost pressure at various rpms, etc. If you are still pulling hard but just feel like you have a lack of power, you could easily have ignition problems, especially if you get misfires. Also what are your mods? And what year is your car.

 

It could be a fuel cut problem. A little more info on your car is needed.

 

m2 medium smic, apexi pfc, 1200cc secondary injectors, m2 aluminum intake, dp, pfs catback, upgraded fuel pump, non-sequential stock twins, and it hits 13psi at 5k rpms it consistently stutters... like tries to go faster and then misses and then tries to go and misses... like it has the same power at 7k rpms as it did at 5k.... thanks guys

 

I would recommend that you check your plugs, plug wires, and finally ignition harness to the coils. I know several people who have had problems with that harness.

 

maybe your stock cat is clogged. see if its glowing red after running the car.

 

i just had a thread about glowing turbo and dp....At what circumstances will it glow?
