No boost on primary turbo!!!!

Ok i been working on this for about a month or so. I not getting any boost from the primary turbo, but i do have boost on the secondy turbo. Im running straight pipe, with simplified sequential and stock ecu. So far the solenoid and actuator all check out fine, but still no primary boost.

The Simplified sequential look like this:

I don't know if this helps but make sure you check to see if the little clip on the end of the actuators are actually on there. I had a similar problem where out of no where I no longer saw primary boost. It was due to the clip coming off and not allowing the actuator to work properly. Unfortunately I did not realize this until after I went non seq. I've never looked back and am going single but I hope this helps you.

I had what sounds like a very similar problem. I had the 4 vacuum lines that pass through the UIM to the y-pipe area hooked up wrong. When I carefully reviewed the documentation and put them on back in the proper order everything was fine. Green Yellow Maroon in your diagram there.

How much boost are you getting on the second turbo? A little bit or the full ammount?

You probably have one of two problems:

a) Problem with the charge control
b) Problem with the pre-control

It could be a problem with the turbo control, but typically that problem results in the opposite issue. Check what is going on in the first half of the boost phase:

Verify those components are working properly with your setup.

I dont have boost at all on primary turbo, until secondary turbo kick in and i get about 4 or 5 psi. I check the solenoid and there in working order. I check it with my vacuum pump.

Yes, but are the actuators responding properly? Are they actuating when they should? Since you did the simplified setup, it's very easy to have something not hooked to a proper vacuum/pressure source where the actuator doesn't work as expected.

If you read the link that I posted above, you'll see that the boost is regulated by the pre-control during the first part of the transition.

Sorry for bringin up the old thread, but I have exactly the same problem, zero boost up to 4500rpm and than 4-5psi from the secondary.

Here is my thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati.../#post12030873

Did you find the source of the problem?

Good luck getting an answer! There are a bunch of these threads dealing with boost issues and no one ever seems to post if they get it resolved or how if they do!
