1995 RX-7 with only 33K miles. No boost shown at any RPM on gauge. 1200 RPM idle, and slighty "poppy" sounding. Looking at the turbo diagram, its looks like I should start with the Wastegate and actuator ? Hope its not the turbo itself..

AND THE ANSWER IS A BLOWN INTAKE GASKET.. ORIGIONAL ONE IS A PAPER COMPOSIT, AND EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE TURBO NEEDS TO COME OFF TO FIX IT.. BIG $$$$$

Do you hear any hissing sound? If not then check the vacuum line that goes from the back of your upper intake manifold to your map sensor, which is bolted to a bracket on the firewall near the master cylinder.

 

might just need to replace your hoses...boost leak!

 

No Hissing sound . Will try what you suggest.
