If the clutch is draging start it in neutral and the there wont be any drag!

 

i've tried it in 1st and N doesn't seem to make a difference. im not hearing(?) anything that would indicate it is dragging. just a wild idea since i seem to have 2 inches of free play on the pedal, i realize it is a problem but i am going to correct it after i get the engine started. i guess im having some other sort of issue or maybe i just need to keep trying.. any advice is definitely appreciated thanks
