no jbweld, use seam sealer to bond them together.

The interior crossbar becomes separated from the door skin leading to the hollow tinny sound. Seam sealer does wonders and makes the door sound solid again.

If your local hardware store doesn't have seam sealer, get a tube of silcone adhesive caulk. Works just as well, maybe better since it remains a little flexible and the sealer tends to get brittle and break loose with vibration. Good time for a can of spray undercoating too.

^ but is this due to age or from a difference in manufacturing at mazda?? the ill get in there tomorow and see if the beam has come loose.

IIRC, it was due to Mazda using different dampening material for the doors. Most people usually end up using BeQuiet or BrownBread instead.

I'm having similar problems so i guess i'll just jump in here. My passenger door handle is separating from the door interior. My drivers side door is broken inside. Is there something i can do to make the door feel and pull more solid?
