New wing problems?

I purchased a '99 spec wing off of an ebay retailer a few days ago. I just got it and I'm wondering if I'm just being paranoid? The mounts, side pieces holding the middle section, are not flat on the bottom. I don't have my car here to go check, but is the tail section back there slightly curved? Also, how do I know where to mount it to on the trunk? Can anybody post up pics as an example? Thanks.

Is it a replica? I'm always cautious when buying stuff from ebay.

This should help: http://www.negative-camber.org/crispyrx7/99wing.htm

I agree with GoodfellaFD3S but I have no experience of commenting of actually buying exterior stuff on eBay. I hear mix reviews. Either way, I hope it works out and not much needs to be done to have the job done. Post some pics once installed.

^ Thanks for that, it might come in handy later. I don't have a stock wing though, so I'll hafta figure something else out. Looking at the wing again though, I think I'm just over thinking it. Both of the sides have the same angle to them, so I wouldn't think that they're flaws. The wing looks very nice, even if I do say so myself.

That does look like a crazy curve. I don't see the side covers either, so I assume it's not adjustable which would make it a chinese fiberglass replica. Make sure you test it before the 3 weeks, so you can try and get somewhat of a refund (prolly loose on shipping x 2).

If you look closely at the second picture, you can see the 3 different mounting points for the wing on the inside of the left support. You just couldn't see the side covers due to the angle. I was just hoping someone here with a '99 wing could confirm the curve on the bottom.

Correction, there are 4 different angles to pick from.

Yes, they do have a curve. I think it's because the center of the hatch is taller and curves downward to the side. Mine feels and sounds like plastic (very light). Fiberglass should sound different and may even still have a smell (unless paint masks it). I just realized, I have no idea how i'm going to mount mine either since I got it used from JT-Imports but there's some hardware (6-al head, 4 flared bolts, 2 flared nut). Hopefully nothing is broken or missing (like clips or whatever), uhg. Crispy's site does't show all the hardware and what goes where.

I was wondering what that odd smell was, lol. I took the wing up to the shop today and we set it ontop of the car. Mounts up perfectly, so I'm excited about that now. Seems to be a great piece, very well put together. The shop quoted me $192 to have it painted and mounted, which is better than what I thought it was going to be.
