New Wideband...

Maybe better than AEM UEGO?
http://www.widebandcommander.com/productinfo.htm

As a world leader in motorsports chassis dynamometers and diagnostic equipment, Dynojet Research Inc. is pleased to announce the Wide Band Commander.

The Wide Band Commander is a tuner’s best friend. It provides a complete picture for proper air-to-fuel ratio analysis. Unlike many “Air/Fuel Systems” on the market that use inferior narrow band technology, this unit has the capability to read from 10.1:1 to 18.1:1 using a Bosch 5 wire LSU4 wideband sensor. This is by far the most complete kit available on the market today.

Once installed, the Wide Band Commander provides an “in-vehicle” dash mount AFR display gauge with a built in warning light, as well as data recording which can be retrieved and analyzed using the supplied software package.

Guess you weren't around when FJO was selling their wideband systems for around $900. Nice turning tool....so if if saves your engine then I guess it's worth a lot more then you pay for it, wouldn't you say?

if this thing has a warning light, how does it work...If it triggers at a certain AFR then the warning light would be on all the time except when you go WOT unless it somehow ties into your RPM since your AFR will be higher at idle.

It would need to know your boost too, cause at 5000 rpms you could be at any number of afrs depending on your boost.

I think tuning with a analog display would be difficult, IMO

LM-1 and get the gauge.
I got mine from Jason and also it goes down to 8.. not just 10.1

Also, LM-1 seems to have very good support and documentation.

I'm not keen on the cheesy looking gauge, and I don't think you get a lot for the money. Although, street price could be better.

For a similar price -

http://www.plxdevices.com/R-500_productinfo.htm

That sucker is BAD - has tons of other logging features, too. Way more bang for the buck if you're in that price point.

I absolutely agree with you on that one, but for a guy like me it is to much money b/c I don't do my own ECU tunning.

Neither do I, but it's really easy for any dummy to look at a gauge and tell when they are running too rich or too lean...Good way to pinpoint when you have a problem....I will get one after water injection.

I'm realy impressed with the R-500 from plxdevices that DaleClark posted the link, I would definitely rather spend my money on that one.

The R-500 is not yet available, so there's no review on it.
