New Project Car

If anyone has been following ebay recently, some of you would have noticed there was a 94 mazda for sale with lots of work to be done. After searching for a project car i decided to get that since it had potential. 3.5g's and a week later it arrived at my house. The project has begun and Ill be keeping this thread updated as the project comes along. I have pictures of before I started but havent had them scanned yet so ill get those up soon. So far i've got the engine stripped down to the shortblock but have to take it out of the engine. Plannin on runnin a gt 35/40 and the whole shebang. Jason at rx7store is gonna take care of me, im gettin everything for my car from him.

Ill keep it updated hope everyone follows along!

See what you've done Jeff!!? You have inspired yet another to revive the dead. Good job!

Way to go Rx7f4n4tic, I am glad to see someone else take the initiative to do a project like this. I don't know the current condition, but i work on enough of these things to know how frustrating and tired of them you can get. Even when everything goes correct!! I am sure Jeff will agree with that.

But in the end it is worth it because you have something that you did yourself and can feel proud of. Not to mention you will know what is going on with your own car That's the best part.

I look forward to the pics in the future.!!

Aloha, Dave

Dang... I bid on that car the 1st time Mazda Recycling had it up for sale and lost out. I assumed it was sold but apparently they had a deadbeat buyer who never followed through. I did not realize they had it up for sale again until it was too late and it was sold the end of July.

Hoping that Mazda Recycling had another deadbeat buyer, today (8/8) I checked out the feedback on the latest buyer (apparently it was you Rx7f4n4tic) and I saw the transaction went through.

Good luck with the car. I'll be watching the recreation.

The condition of the car basically has dents in every panel, both quarters, both fenders, both doors and the roof. So aside from doing all the performance mods i plan on doing I have to get the body work done as well. The car was vandalized and such so I need a LOT of stock parts I will make a list on here probably tonight or tomorrow as I need alot of interior panels in black and a few engine components. Ill keep everyone updated.

Don't know if you're aware but you have a reputable rotary tuner right in your back yard. A-Spec Tuning in Addison. Good luck with your project. Saw that car on ebay. Nice score.

The car is going black but just for my records how much ya wantin for that door jeff? As for A-spec I know all about them. Once the car is all set and ready to go im gonna have them tune it for me. Unless I get lucky and there is a steve kan tuning session in the chicagoland area around that time.

on Monday I took the stockers off and they seem to be perfect condition, maybe theyve even been rebuilt. They have no shaft play whatsoever. They are for sale by the way so pm me with offers if youd like them. Otherwise I'll send them to Jason with my engine for some store credit maybe.
