new problem with fd and idle

today after i parked th car and then restarted car will idle at a solid 2000 rpm it wasnt doing that before any ideas check all vacum lines all ok

could be a manifold leak. you can spray carb cleaner around the l.i.m. and if the car stalls while spraying you've found your leak. do a search on leaks and your problem will probably come up in one of the threads

Nope.

You have to pull the turbo to get at the LIM studs.

Sorry.

BTW, have you checked for engine codes? Have you checked your cruise control and throttle cables for binding?

ihave not checked engine codes dont have cruise control and cables are ok

Before you go into the serious stuff try screwing in the AAS below the elbow and see if that drops your idle.

Check your ISC on the TB.

I've left that unplugged before and had the high idle problems (and them immediately remembered that I didn't plug in the connection).
