2300 RPM idle problem
2300 RPM idle problem
Got my car back from rebuilder yesterday and there is a 2300 RPM idle. So...I checked my vaccum which consisted of silicone hoses and it was 19-20 vaccum, then I re-set my PFC back to stock map and idle was still to high...then turned idle screw all the way down and still 2300 RPM idle. What else could it be? Driving me insane!!!

Why didn't you call the builder or drive it back to them?
Take it to Mazdatrix. John will diagnose in 60sec and he's way too busy to fix it, so you won't get charged.

2300 rpm idle? Well, let's get the obvious contenders out of the way:
1. The throttle stop screw. Back it out all the way. <-- top of TB.
2. The throttle body air bypass screw, close it completely. <-- bottom of TB, under elbow.
3. The ISC solenoid, is it connected and present?
