since this is back from the dead...

after using the tunerpro for months now, i'm impressed with what it does, but the user interface sucks. if i had it to do over again, i would have gone with the plx--just for the better software.

It has a new compare graph feature so you can compare the datalogging of 2 runs on the same computer screen, you can get this update for free from the plx website, it is nice. I love my PLX R-500 !

No. You would have to buy the g-sensor from PLX, then follow the manual to set it up to work as a dyno.

PLX R-500/M-500 2-Axis G Sensor (Accelerometer), this should be mentioned in the manual and on the PLX website. Can be purchased at the link above, details also at the link above.

Introduction:

The PLX 2-Axis G Sensor gives the R-500/M-400/M-500 the added capability of data logging your vehicle's forward acceleration, braking deceleration and cornering road holding grip. Any changes to your vehicle's engine power, brakes, tire compound, alignment can be detected with the PLX G Sensor and data logged for analysis.

Steve Kan and Gotham Racing ran a group buy on the PLX devices a few months ago. Didn't get the R500 but I did pick up the SM-AFR and DM5 AFR combo and the IMFD multifunction display with the EGT, Vac/Boost, and Fluid/after cooler temp sensors. When I spoke with Gotham a few weeks ago, they had the AFR sensor and guage installed but were waiting on the other sensors and display units to arrive from PLX.

I'll end up with two gauges, one dedicated to AFR readings and the multipfunction display reading all the other parameters. With the IMFD, you can scroll thru each sensor to display what you wish. Pretty cool setup.
