Neo Fluid Installed

I usually use redline stuff, but after I installed the j-spec trans in the track car I decided to try NEO. So far so good. I didnt notice a super duper life altering change in smoothness from the redline stuff, but it is smooth. Shifts are very clean. I recommend it.

One gallon will get you a filled transmission and diff. I did both with the one gallon and it just barely made it.

by the way, goto an autostore and get a syphon pump similar to what is shown in my pic, it makes changing the trans/diff fluid VERY easy.

I recently flushed my trans and diff with neo as well. 1st and 2nd gear is notchy every morning or after the cars cooled off completely but as soon as the fluid has warmed up everything is definetly smoother.

Oh and I used that same pump too

I get the same thing even after switching to Neo. Honestly, I saw *very* little change, even with my ~105k mile tranny.

I did use the pump as well, but my bottle was so huge that It was very difficult to fit under the car. I still need to change my diff. fluid.

My trans also has 106k miles, 1st and 2nd gear synchros or forks must be worn out because it is a struggle putting it in gear and pulling it out as well, resistance the whole way through. I'm assuming because once my car is left sitting over night most of the oil falls back to the bottom of the transmission. But once the car is warmed up and the oil is flowing through the gears, ALL notichness is gone completely. 1st gear shifts so smooth even when you shift into 1st from coasting, so to me it is a huge change.. yet a never ending cycle as I go through the huge change every morning. Now if there was an oil that got rid of the morning notchiness completely and offered the same results of neo when warm, I'd be real impressed.

Are you sure your tranny is full and that the oil was recently replaced? Might want to check it.

The NEO feels the same to me whether cold or warm. The best part is that in the winter time when outside temp is cold it still shifts nicely without having to warm first.

Damon, how many miles does your tranny have on it?

That fluid pump is cool, I recently bought a drill powered pump, it's little (3 in diameter), it's got a tube in and a tube out and it fits right in to a drill chuck, awesome.

133,000 and the fifth gear synchro is finally beginning to go. I've already got another tranny to rebuild and install but have been in no rush.
