Need to remove intake elbow, anthing special to know?

I have never removed it myself.. It looks like 2 10MM bolts on top of the elbow, and under it looks like 2 more, but its hard to tell if those are connected to elbow or not. I am assuming they are. Also looks like a hose is connected to it. If im missing something or need to take special care please let me know. THANKS.

Make sure you reconnect that wierd plastic thing with vacuum tubes connected to it when you put the intake elbow back on.

? Are you talking about that vaccum chamber thingy in the center of the car under the stutt tower brace? If so..why would I take that apart? is it connected to the elbow?

I think mine was connected underneath the two bolts on the bottom. Like the bolts were screwed in on top of it.

I *THINK* that plastic thing is actually attached to the lower intercooler hose thingy. Im talking about the actual elbow (what the greddy elbow replaces). But then again, I dont know what im talking about. Thanks.

Under the elbow is a really small vaccuum chamber with a tube coming off either end. Make sure you put it back on the bolts. And there is a triangular shaped, rubber o-ring between the elbow and throttle body. Dont lose that. Otherwise, you mentioned everything else.

Definately the only spot I can see it can screw on to. Just look right under the intake elbow where it attaches to the TB and see if you see a vacuum line right near the bolt closest to the front of the car.

that must be what DaedelGT was talking about. So let me get this straight...I take off the two top bolts, take off the hose, take the bottom bolts off..now where is the vaccume chamber? Is it attached to the hose? Its it bolted on? or is it just some hoses that are attached to it? a little confused, thanks.

It sits on the studs that the intake elbow goes onto. Just undo the bolts and when you take off the elbow, you will see exactly what it is we are talking about.

THE little black tank with a hose in and one hose out is the purge tank . It it hangs on the two 6 mm studs before the 10 mm nuts go on .

Wow thanks for your help. It only took 5 minutes for me to take my strutt tower brace off and the elbow. I would never have noticed that little thing below that you guys told me about. I put it on BEHIND the elbow and realized that there was a huge gap to the manifold so I had to redo it. now its infront and all seems well. I wanted to see how much water my nozzel sprays and I can definately say it sprays enough water, YIKES.

Thanks again!!!
