Sniffle7,
Have you checked your throttle cable to make sure it has no sticky spots? Are all your vacuum lines (that you can see) connected properly? Does the engine rev high only when the car is cold, or even if it is warm? Have you checked the 10-amp Room Fuse? It feeds the audio system and also the PCME... only common thing I could find between your radio install and the engine control system.

only in cold starts...i havent really got it warm to do it...it just keeps getting higher, i shut i down because of that. throttle cable is fine, no issues....vacuum lines could be a mayb...by i did have my arm down near the steering colum in the engine bay...i could have snagged something....not sure...any other questions???
Sniffle, can't see what your model is, but look at your cruise control cable if you have cruise. Follow it all the way around the throttle actuator, make sure it isn't holding things open. Even try disconnecting it to be sure. That was my problem...
problem fixed...looked like the throttle cable was being held and some was loose...i got the cable free and pushed everything back in...now its all good...but still looking for speaker question...they arent working...prolly the bose system...thats what i been hearing...is this an easy fix?
