need help purchasing radiator cap
should i go with an aftermarket one or an oem one?
(usually i would go for the best priced .. lowest price and does the best job)what is the oem one rated at? 16lb?
also i was thinking about going with a 13lb one .. any thoughts?

Don't go cheap, buy the OEM one.
I replaced my cap 3 times because my car kept leaking coolant from the overflow tank. It stopped when I bought an OEM one. Pretty scary scenario if you ask me. Thermoswitches, thermostats, and coolant caps I always buy OEM (now). These parts are relatively inexpensive but can cause a world of hurt if they go bad.

It seems to be that it's a hit and miss with these cheapo aftermarket stuff. A time before that I had replaced the thersmostat and a couple of days later it got stuck. My **** hit the H in a matter of seconds. Luckily it happened on my truck which can take a slight overheating. If it would had happened on my FD: bye bye engine.
After the whole cap thing I'd decided that no more aftermarket parts for items like these. On neither my truck or FD.
