alright. my name is johnny, hi to all of you guys! i have a problem and i know it has to be a simple fix and was wondering if anyone could help me. i have a jdm rhd rx7 94 model. has 22xxx kilometers on the clock. i love it. but, i dont think the secondary turbo is kicking in. i know it has to be something real simple. was wondering if anyone on this board has ever had that happened and what i should look at doing?
Have you read the FAQ? There is a great turbocharger troubleshooting page in the links section.

no smoke comin from the pipe. feels good before 4500 rpm, but then just lags til redline. puttin in a boost gauge tonight. ordered the check valves and also the vacum line kit. just was askin to see if there was certain things i can check for guys.
Could be the turbo control solenoid, or any of the other 100 million solenoids, actuators, and vacuum lines that control the sequential system. Looks like a rats nest under the intake manifold with all the vac lines and solenoids (hence the reason it's called "the rats nest").
If you can't figure out what's wrong with the system, go nonsequential. Then all the vac lines don't matter.

'Course then you're talking larger secondaries, fuel pump, and a PCF.

It's very hard to diagnose other people's problems over the internet. Your definition of 'lags till redline' could mean all kinds of things, and you're probably not using 'lag' to mean what I think it should mean.
See what I mean?
Your problem could be caused by something as simple as old spark plugs causing misfiring at high RPMs, or a clogged fuel filter or catalytic converter, a loose coupling pipe causing a boost leak, among other things. Personally, I recommend taking care of basic maintenance items that you might need to catch up on before making any big-time repairs.

Been running non-sequential for like almost 4 years now. A little more lag, but no headaches from the sequential system, and no dip in power at 4-5k
alright guys. i just took the car on a spin and the secondary is kickin in. pulls pretty good til redline. everything seems fine. i ran it hard for about five minutes. just first through third gear pulls. i pulled up and parked my car and let the turbo timer do its thing. next thing u know, about ten minutes later, there is coolant on the ground.its coming from the overflow tank on, the tank on the front left of the car. i looked down between there and saw there is a little hole with an oring on top of the hole where the coolant is coming out. is this normal by any means? what should i do? the car didnt overheat and the car doesnt smoke. im lost? someone help? my aim if anyone is on there is xxballerincxx thanks!
Check the cap on the AST. If it's bad, it maybe letting coolant into the overflow tank early and causing it to overflow. The hole on top of the overflow tank is normal. Dunno about any O ring...
