NEED HELP!!! im LOSING 2
Alright guys i got the gauge installed and im running about 5 lbs of boost if that at 4500 and it just dies out to red line.....not sure what is going on...it doesnt hold 5 at all for very long....
First, you need to worry about the Primary Turbo (this could be a number of different problems). Here is a link to a diagram of a few things to check. Once you fix that one, then worry about the second one (this is assuming you still have the stock twins, given the fact you didn't LIST YOUR MODS). The second turbo depends on boost from the primary to get it going.

Then when you find the leak, replace the coupler, and enjoy 10psi. Well, not necessarily, but usually boost under 7psi is simply a boost leak.
Dave
alright im going to go check these out and have a look, i will let you know what i find. thanks again ohhhhh i have some pictures i want to have u guys look at....i have one line that doesnt go to anything it seemed sort of odd.... i will have to get on my computer to send them

alright ive checked everything that i can i didnt take of the y pipe at all, but i did look at the couplers and everything checked out. the only thing i didnt know how to do was charge the relief valve, the control actuater, and i couldnt get off the primary turbo inlet, it looked fine though no cracks or leaks? i know its a noob questions but, ive done research, and could only come up with similar things but not actually how to. if they arent charged could that result in a loss of 5 psi?
Simple thing, but def. worth the time. Start the engine, make sure the engine's fully warmed up, pop the hood, and using the throttle controller in the engine bay, rev the engine hard, enough to produce boost. Keep your face to the side, and listen/look for a gust of air. You may not hear it over the engine roar if you're in the car, but w/ the hood up, and you standing over the hood, you may see it or even feel it. Very simple, very quick, and a lot of times produces worthwhile results
If you see/hear/feel it, keep repeating until you isolate what area it's coming from. If you got it, you're done. If not, at least now you've narrowed it down to one very specific area...

alright the one question no one has answered is this: off of my air filter there is a hose running off the right of it....what does this go to because there is nothing hooked up to it...just a lonely hose not going anywhere...anyone have any ideas
to the right on the lower side of it. mine was the same way it went to nothing. the the others(looking at it form the front of the car) are(middle) two intake hoses, (left) upper ABVBlack lower CRVBrown to the (right) upper UIM(looks like someone correct me if i'm wrong) and angled one is to the air pump

it is normal. Mine was the same way. You have a boost leak or a bad turbo control system. I had the same problem, exactly. 5lbs of boost and no transition. I found it to be in one of three places. The y-pipe coupler, just change it out they are usually fucked up and it will only cost a new one, don't buy the stock one, get a high temp silicone 500 degree 4-ply coupler. Then I found 4 bad solenoids including double throttle control solenoid and a bad Charge Control valve (connects y-pipe to engine). I replaced all in question and fixed it. I now have full boost pattern. The sequential system is the most difficult and elaborate thing I have ever dealt with (makes cpu programming look easy). Once you figure it out, you can do anything, the final frontier. Let me know if you want to know any specifics, testing solenoids, etc. Figures two people have the same problem after I fixed mine and before I couldn't find anyone with info on this exact problem.
Alright sonix i tested my boost pattern again here it is 7-4-5, couplers and all that checked out fine.. i couldnt hear any leaks when i tested under the hood. just a clicking noise? But yeah how do i test the solenoids?
