need help gettin y pipe tpgether

any secrets to gettin the 2 parts of the y pipe back together, seems like I cant 'sqeeze' them together that easily, and i dont watnt ot destroy the small o-ring seal between them.

Make sure u unbolt the rear half of the y-pipe too, and then you should be able to throw it in there. Having the air pump off helps alot.

dont think you get me, i have the y pipe off the car and just want to get it back together so i can get it back onthe car, but its not easy getting the tight fitting parts together...

wow, I dont even know what to ysay to this description other than 'throw it in there' means nothing to me, can you be a bit more descriptive?

Yeah some silicone lube should do the trick.

I work at a hottub dealer and that's what we do when putting our oring parts to fit.

I dont see what the huge problem is, its gotta be much easier off of the car then when I did it with the rear half on the car. The rear half was left on when I installed the efini pipe.. All I did was tilt the rear up and used some elbow grease and pushed the other half back in. The rubber o-ring stayed in place and I had no problems. It did take quite a bit of force, so using lube is a good reccomendation as the others have stated.

got it on guys thanks, lube was the trick, i have a broken hand so im not as 'powerful' as usualy (hehehe)

Should have used more lube!! Ha haha!!! Just Kidding!! It is however all about the lube with o-rings. Glad you got it! Argh! I only wanted to quote the broken hand part! Oh well.
