Dear Kris,
It's not easy for people to suggest possible maps. This is due to the fragility of the 13b-rew rotary engine. My suggestion is to try a map with mod's similar to yours but a bit richer. If you have the same injectors and fuel pump as the map you choose you lessen the potential for problems. Lessen, but not eliminate. What works well for one guy may not work well for another. Why this is I don't know, perhaps it's because injectors or fuel filter are clogged. Maybe it's elevation, temp and climate. Either way I suggest a richer than needed map, and then to lean it out SLOWLY with the use of a wideband o2 at a dyno. Best wishes with your mapquest.

thanks ricola. question to you...if i run a map with an intercooler would you think it would be(hypothetically) sufficent for my car that will not have an intercooler for a few? thanks for you input. i know what you are trying to say, as the real way to only know is a wideband

i think i am going to run map 3 in the ECU forum. does anyone know if that will work. its for all my mods + a ported motor. i want to run rich and dont want to chance leaning it out. does anyone know if this is a wise choice. MAX, anyone?

map 3 Modified Map 3 (Spyfish)
Modifications Include: intake | downpipe | midpipe | catback | ported motor
seems like a safe choice, as it was intended for a ported motor which is more demanding on fuel than nonported motor. It should be a tad rich for your needs, and rich = safety net.

Check your thread in the PowerFC section since that's where this belongs.

Check with Dave At KD Rotary for suggested safe maps for your car. Using some elses map is like playing catch with a live hand grenade.
