No its not the stock color and I have no idea what it is.. When it gets painted im gonna go with a dark grey color.
Soon as the weather clears up over here I'm gonna get the rest of that gas out and replace the filter again.. When I did start it up she ran very smooth and everything worked including the elec. roof. The Engine light is on so I'm gonna have to see what its throwing for codes.
Thanks for all the good remarks.

Sounds like a problem with the gauge. It reads resistance, so you can eliminate the sending unit. (i.e. bad sending unit = gauge would read full all the time)

Warming the planet.
It's the sending unit. It's all buggered from 6 years of condension in the tank, and yes the sending unit is a potentiometer, but the higher the resistance the lower the gadge reads. Hopefully you can clean it up and run through it's range of motion and it will still work.

Damn thanks guys yous are great.. I'll have to pull the pump for that right? I already checked the connections on the top of the pump along with that black wire and those seem fine.. I'll pull the pump this weekend when I remove the fuel.

If you do all of the above and it still doesn't work, test the gauge. If you have a FSM, page C1-17 tells you how to test it. If you don't have a FSM (factory service manual) buy one. You can download one here
However, I was looking and didn't see this section (C1) in the downloadable version. Maybe someone on here can correct me on this.

Update! Drained fuel and put in some 93 octane along with some Marvel Mystery oil. It cranked right up and idled pretty ruff and the CEL was on. I jumped the conections in the Diag box and came up with two codes.. One was code 12 (Full range throttle sensor open or short circuit) and the other was 18 (Narrow range throttle sensor open or short circuit). So after reading the manual I figured it could had something to do with when I removed the UIM to check the rats nest, coils and noids. Sure enough it was.. I forgot to reconnect a wire/plug on the right side of the trottle body. Reattached it, reset the computer and now she purrrrrrs like a kitten.

^ I'm trying to figure this out also. My search function isnt working correctly so I'm gonna have to search through my shop manual. If you find out anything first please post here.. Like they said its got to be something as easy as cleaning some contacts cause the gauge worked for me on Saturday for about an hour but stopped again If I find something I'll let you know. thanks
