It's all in the factory service manual.

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-archives-73/tech-manual-directory-614824/

There is no consensus on which brand of oil to use, or even synthetic vs. conventional. Don't bother trying to start a thread on the subject; it will be locked.

Use a mineral base 10w40 in the summer.... I'll shoot you if you use something in the winter because that should not be an option!

As for the tranny and diff, buy yourself a gallon of Neo synthetic. It will fill your tranny and you'll also have enough to fill up the diff. This stuff works wonders on transmissions!

For coolant, any glycol will work. Just make sure its green! If mixing yourself use distilled water.

All the other stuff is pretty self explanatory... I don't see why you're asking what brake fluid to use... If you can boil DOT3 fluid then you must know much more any many of use posting and should be teaching us. Goodluck!

Do not use 10w40. It has additives which result into more ash content. Even the "low ash" brands still have more than the other oil weights. Just stick with 10w30. There is no need for anything else unless you start putting the car on road courses.

Any decent 75w90 synthetic oil will do. I prefer Royal Purple as I can get locally. Neo and Redline are other good brands. I would stay away from Mobile One.

Same as above.

Some people swear by the Orange stuff (Dexcool). I have not used it in my RX7 and don't plan to. IMO, stick with Prestone (green stuff) and make sure to run the proper water/coolant mixture for your area temperatures.

ATE Super Blue/Gold is what I would recomment. 1L is entire to flush the system.

No need for super expensive stuff on this one. The FD has a power steering cooling line to keep the fluid cool while driving the car spiritedly.

I like Magnacor wires. Some people like Taylor and others like the stock NGK wires. Just depends on what you want.

Wait, wait... I was told that I HAD to do a coolant change in my FD, because I was running orange, and orange causes catastrophic damage to the coolant seals... is this wrong?

+1 This is what I'm using (in SoCal).

Racing oil is a good choice for the following reasons:

1) Real racing engines, by design, consume quite a bit of oil in the course of normal use. The manufacturers know this, and for that fact, racing oil is designed to burn cleanly. This makes it ideal for use in the rotary, where oil is deliberately injected.

2) Racing engine oils are not as slippery as the newer tech and synthetic engine oils. They don't have to be for what they are expected to do. And it is often not necessary or desireable as racing engines are always being broken in. Racing engines are not designed for anywhere near 100,000+ mile service, hence their requirements are different.

3) Racing oils use trace elements such as zinc and/or related compounds, i.e., ZDDP for protection. These protect the engine differently than the newer breed of environmentally friendly oils. Since these compounds have been outlawed for general use in motor oil, you have to buy a real racing oil if you want this kind of protection.

read the service manual...you will need a GL-5 fluid in the diff and a GL-4 in the tranny if i recall correctly...double check the manual

Actually the manual permits GL-4 or GL-5.

IMHO, GL-4 is best for the tranny and GL-5 is best for the diff. If you're going to try some fancy shockproof or something, put it in the diff.
