Are you asking how to remove the instrument panel from the dashboard, or the actual instrument cluster from the instrument panel?

people are so damned lazy these days. Here's a screen capture I made from Dale Clark's PDF. It's not the first time it's been posted.

I used this excellent procedure today to successfully remove the cluster. But I have these amendments...

4. Sit in the drivers seat and grasp the hood...

My hood started sliding out left side before right - maybe this is because I am
left handed; but I had to apply a slight upward pressure to pull the hood and to
clear the steering wheel (I also did not remove the wheel). The cluster and
hood will not clear the dash and steering wheel until all connectors are released.

5. Very carefully, disconnect the 7 connectors...

I found 8 connectors. Because the left side (from driver seat) had the most
room for my hand, I started releasing the left most connector followed by each
of the others as I moved from left to right. All of the connectors are removed
by squeezing each at the two tabs on the long side of the connectors. If you
have big hands like me, this may prove to be difficult. Find a volunteer with
smaller hands if you can. The eighth connector is for the cigarette lighter. It
just slides on and off with no pinching required.

In the attached pic you can see what the clips look like. This should give you a better visual for what you are trying to do.
