Yes, it does work some. Just use a whole bottle with your coolant.

Use The Search Function!!

Crybabii,

While it is nice that some people will "spoon feed" newbies, you could save yourself some pain, and flames, if you would simply search...

I did a quick search for "coolant flush" and found multiple threads. I copied this one.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...radiator+flush

Almost every issue that may arise with an FD has been covered by someone. You just have to look for it. I understand that some issues are hard to locate, but at least make an attempt first before posting endless questions...

Yes absolutely use distilled water and never ever use tap water.

I would drain out the radiator and pour in distilled and water wetter until it's full. Read up on how to "burp" the system as it's a pain to get all the air out.

If it has been a while since the coolant was changed, I'd even consider using a radiator flush/cleaner. Takes more distilled water, but it is pretty cheap.

As Dave said, search on burping. Based on a recommendation from someone here, I bought a special Lyle funnel for the purpose. It works great at getting all the air out of the system.

Would it be ok to leave the water wetter in the system while storing the car for the winter in a garage ?

Would my coolant freeze with this stuff in it ?

Empty the entire system and use Evans NPG+ coolant. It is completely waterless and never needs replacing. It's been an outstanding product, I have been running it for over 5 years now with no issues whatsoever.

Water Wetter is an amateur solution to what the cooling needs are in an FD.

Going back to the water wetter option, if you want to get the most out of it, you should be running mostly / all distilled water. Running it in 50/50 coolant isn't getting the best cooling.

But if you're in Toronto, 100% water is not safe for winter. I run mostly distilled with water wetter in summer and drain/replace back to 50/50 for winter. Given how important fresh coolant is in these cars, I think it's time well spent.
