Need Advice!!

Hey everyone,

My car has been sitting in my garage for 2 yrs now and I am looking for some advice as for bringing it back into service. I know I should change the following oil, oil filter, gas. Any onther areas I should look into before cranking up this sleeping beauty? Any advice would be great!! I'm in the procecess in putting in my new turbo AF61!!! Can't wait. I read some great reviews on this turbo.

Thanks
Diego

Flush the coolant. Check for cracked or really old vaccuum lines/coolant hoses. Thats about it. Crank it over and see if she fires up.

i wouldnt just fire her up... pull the ignition relay and the fuel pump relay. turn the car over and let the oil get primed and moved around a lil bit. but yeah change the oil new/filter. and look if an animal got into your stock box if you still have one... sometimes they leave presents to get sucked in! look at the plug wires see if they are cracked, if so replace. while your in the area if you have the money get some new plugs in there they can never hurt!

Change ALL fluids. Oil and coolant are obvious, but I would also change the gear oil and rear end. Brake fluid absorbs moisture so I would flush the whole system as well. Drain the gas tank and put it fresh gas. make sure you dispose of it properly. I couldn't even get my lawn mower to burn gas that was a couple years old. You might also want to squirt a little oil into the spark plug holes to help lubricate things as the motor has been sitting so long. charge the battery, pull the egi fuse and crank 3 times 10 seconds at a time. Then put in the fuse and start it. if you need help I am in North NJ.
