Red face Need advice!

Ok well finally my car is going to brought to the shop to get it checked out and fixed. My car previously was abused by some people I thought were my friends. I need some advice on the following to things before I bring it to the shop. The following was done my people who was giving my car a tune up. They test drove it without my permission then crashed it, after bringing it to their shop in Brooklyn they messed it up even more.

The front bumper is shredded so I need to replace it and my hood is dented up so I need to get body work as well. The impact was from a 45 degree angle on the left side so the frame got pushed in by an inch (driver side) The engine supposedly had 0 compression. I don't know how they checked for compression when there is vacuum leaks. I know there is a electrical problem somewhere since it keeps draining the battery and the breaks have problems (think its the master cylinder) They claimed that the engine was blown. My engine was working fine when I brought it in the shop and 3 days later poof! they call me and say the engine is dead. There is obviously some BS here.

Currently, I know this new shop I'm bringing it to has a mechanic who fixed and owned RX7 for 17 years I trust them. So does anyone have any advice for me such as what to do while the car is being tested and checked out?

Simply because they did it without any of your permission despite you being a customer and such, they deserve to get fucked royaly. I mean your one time, but who could be next. They dont deserve to even be around.

Hold on a sec, they drove your car and wrecked it but then said your motor was blown? If it was blown how did they wreck it

Damn, that sucks! Are the paying for the repairs???

Buy a gun, maybe?

I feel for ya. I'm in the midst of researching a shop to buy from and install a new motor for my car. I'm looking at $5000+.

Going for a Streetport + getting a Power FC(& Commander)

well what happen was my friend was giving me a tune up and he didn't have the right tool for the ABS break calipers so he told this other kid who's dad owns a mechanic shop in Brooklyn to come in a and help out. This dumb kid didn't the bleed the breaks right so the master cylinder blew and little did he know when he test drove it he didn't know he couldn't stop. So boom hits a car and the car that got hit ran away and conveniently they didn't get the plate numbers of this van. So this kid feels bad that he offers to fix everything for free at his dad's shop. I bring it there and they fucked everything up so bad, my engine was working until they touched it and told me that my engine blew. They didn't give me any receipt since the job was "free" so I have no proof that my car was there physically besides the fact that I know a friend who knows my car was towed there. So how would I get the lawyer to help me? Should I try anyway? This kid basically didn't pay me for any damage and is getting away with it. He told me he tried and found out my engine was about to/blown. There is obviously some BS here as well.

Don't speak to them from now on - work only in paper. If you want to bring a lawyer in or do anything that won't be your word vs. their word, don't call them. Write to them. Track down that towing company and get proof they delivered your car to the garage.

ok I could get proof that it was sent there but would that be enough proof? What if say claim that my car got wrecked after I left the shop? I didn't report this to my insurance company since they said they would fix it for me, now I regret not calling the insurance company... I'm basically busting my ***** to get the money to fix my car and I know its not going to be cheap.
