NA FD header!

BEHOLD! the custom NA FD Racing beat header! So in my quest to get the fd i picked up running , which had very bad turbos (literaly pouring oil out)...

i wanted it to be drivable and verify the oil control rings in the engine are good. until i find some decent turbos or pay up and have them rebuilt...

SO i took an old RB header for a FC and cut the flange off, shortened it a few inches then welded a custom flange on the end so that it bolts up to the factory main cat!
I belive i may have truely lost my mind. or perhaps created the most reliable fd ever...

it actually runs pretty well w/o the turbos aside from it being pretty slow and louder then normal. and theres no smoke! engine is good!!

I have the same thing at my shop. I use it to be 100% sure if a smoking problem is internal to the engine or the turbos.

While cool....I have seen good used turbos go for like $150....so why not just spend a LITTLE bit of money and make the car RIGHT? No turbos means ~ 100 hp loss.
Saturns will OWN you, for God's sake.

THATS THE PROBLEM! ive gotten 2 sets of junk turbos so far, and yes i even spent exactly 150 on the last set, the guy will give me my money back...

but ive been having a bit of a time tracking down a cheap set of good turbos locally. cheap and good just arnt the best of freinds...

Belive me i want to put turbos on it! it is pretty slow, lol na it would probbaly be a neck and neck race against my 89 convertible haha... its probably pushing around sam ehp as a na fc even with the low comp rotors, due to the intake port sizes.

Single without a doubt, the stock turbos are a waste of time.
