I have an N1 dual, it really isnt that loud, even without the silencers. The thing is my tires and supsension deliver a lot of noise into the cabin when driving...so maybe that kind of compensates for whatever noise there really is. I drive without the radio on most of the time and I dont notice the exhaust or get paranoid when I drive next to a cop. I love it, I'm glad I didnt sell it.
The N1 single: I've heard on hondas and stuff, I dont know if it's comparable, but those are loud as hell (a real fart can) as opposed to the Tanabe RM.

fart can

Yeah, I've got one... and without a midpipe, the N1 does sound like a fart can at low revs.. and it resonates pretty good [read annoyingly] when you lug it just a little. But sounds pretty good wide open.

The N1 Duals are very very loud with a DP and MP. Even with a resonated MP it is very loud, although tolerable.

I am not sure how it sounds with the stock cat/hi flow.

You should just go all out and buy the A'pexi GT Spec.

This is an old post, but I wanted to add something for those interested in this unit. I put a hi-flow cat on, and it is loud, even with the silencers. Not too loud though, in fact it sounds awesome, if I wasnt such a cop magnet I'd be keeping it on for sure, but as of right now that's up in the air. Anyway, I have a DP, hi-flo, and the N1 Duals.

My N1 single is loud as hell under throttle - with the silencer in place it's nice, and I doubt if I've lost much performance - right where it should be -sounds like a sports car instead of a vacuum cleaner on steroids.

I HATE loud exhausts on EVERYTHING (except real race cars!). This includes Harley 883's, 600cc Sport Bikes, and especially Honda cars of any kind. Ever notice how everything that's loud is so SLOW???
It is so obnoxious to have a really loud exhaust - it's like saying "Heh,
look at me everyone!!"
