Best Front Strut Bar for 3rd Gens
Was just wondering which front strut bar everyone was using and which people liked the best. I want to know about fit, looks, performance, and cost specifically. Any pics you feel like posting would be cool too. I think the R1/R2 strut bars with the RX-7 emblem on them look pretty good. What do you guys (and gals) think?

I have a Cusco D and barley felt a difference but for the price, it was good. It was a little hard to put on but I havn't seen a strut bar yet that was easy, they're suppose to be hard. I do like the stock R1's but the price is a little much and hard to find.

I have the GAB bar on my car. It came on the car when I bought it so I don't know how the install was but it looks good in there. I also polished mine for a bit more bling bling.

I think most front strut bar are the same. If there is a difference, it's probably marginal. Go with the cheapest you can find that look like it's functional. I bought the Corksport strut bar for cheap and it works how it's suppose to.

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
they are all pretty much the same...except one of them. i forgot the name of the company, but there is a STB you could get from NOPI thats as thick as my pinky finger. it wont do jack ****.
all the ones from Cusco, FEED, M2, GAB all do the same job, so just go with the one you think looks best. the best looking one, IMO, is the stock R1/R2 bar....but i've heard thats about $600 or somethin from dealer.

The Cusco one is a good bar, but if you are not going to be running the Greddy elbow for an aftermarket intercooler then just get the cheap Corksport one. I had that one before and it was great for the money, but it hit the greddy elbow when I got my intercooler more than I would like, so I went to the Cusco which fit better.

There are some differences where some bars are taller than others which allow more clearance. There is one brace that i really want but not sure who makes it in japan. It is a 4-point brace that monts to the strut towers and the fire wall.

Thanks for the tip MeLoN350. I'm not sure what intercooler I will upgrade to after I get the car in a couple of weeks but that's something that I will definately keep in mind. Any other "issues" or pointers to keep in mind with any of the other popular brands?

I heard that the suspension techniques bar is good because its excessively thick and over engineered. Although that is just what I "heard", so hopefully someone with experience with them could comment on this.

Dr. Wankel, that has to be the cleanest engine bay I've ever seen.
