N1 dual

Hey i know theres been a lot of discussion abotu exhaust and i've already done searches but a lot of them are pretty old..so i wanna ask some ppel that recently got the apexi n1 dual some questions. Is it worth buying? i've heard it can melt ur bumper is this true for any1..and if so how can u prevent it. I dont want to ask abotu noise because every1 have there own opinion so will just turn into debate, but wut about performance wise was there a big difference in power gain? Is the tip just made of stainless steel or is the pipping too because at the apexi site the pipping doesnt seem to be stainless steel. thnx for the help

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Apex'I doesn't make an N1 dual for FD.

i absolutely loved mine, flows extremely well, you will feel it. not sure about the exact hp gain though. so it will flow as much as you would want it to. i know you dont want to ask about the sound, but with the twins i loved the tone. its a little on the loud side, but sounded so cool. i often turned off the radio just to hear my car. i miss it. now i have a big street port, and a single turbo, and it was WAY too loud, (but flowed plenty) . so i bought a tanabe. its quieter, but has a big tip. i loved the look of the bigger dual tips with the apex. it was touching the black plastic under the bumper, so it melted that a little, but not the bumper itself. the stuff that its coated with is purple, i think its like that jet-hot coat stuff. (its sitting in the other room, i could take a picture for ya if you wanna see what it looks like) my buddy and i both have it. when we drive, as he flies by me at WOT it sounds like a damn jet taking off(you can tell it flows a ton). as i said, with the twins, i loved it. but now its for sale, along with the tanabe, trying to get enough for the racing beat.

N1 dual is a solid exhaust. Just use the silencers if you're concerned about noise (if you aren't now, you will be after you get it).

They won't melt a bumper if mounted correctly - they don't even touch the bumper.

Yep. With a mid-pipe it is VERY VERY loud. You will be pulled over if you floor it around a cop.

I don't think your 1.3l rotary will be showing up any V8 when it comes to exhaust note! Loudness is one thing. Sounding like an overgrown chainsaw isn't something to be proud of.

Ok lets get one thing straight... V8's INVENTED the exhaust note.

The RX7 is many things, but to think making the exhaust loud is going to make V8 owners wet w/ envy is laughable.

V8 - Made exhaust something you WANTED to hear.

If your car doesn't sound like an indy car or a V8, it doesn't need to be heard.

I think what he means is that the dual tip is more understated than some of these coffe can looking exhausts. I had the N1 single which looked like it was just hanging out in the open. Now I have the dual tip and it looks way more refined, like it is supposed to be there. It's all what look you want I guess.

Also the pipes don't touch the car when it's parked but the black plastic above the pipes is a little melted. You would never notice it unless you went looking for it.

Ok now I know for a fact that the dual tip with a downpipe stock cat and silencers is less than 90 db. We were up at Laguna Seca last weekend and they have a 90 db sound limit and a fixed and mobile sound checker. I did not set off the sound meter once all weekend under wide open throttle.
