the "n-tercooler"

Has anyone used this "N-tercooler" thing?
I'm looking at a summit catolog and it has this cheesy F&F Go Faster and more Furious series of the Nitrous Express N-tercooler system. I get how and why it works but what would a extra jolt of cold dense air do to a rotary? would it lean it out and blow or is it safe to use? Even though i dought it will give u an extra 50 hp that it says it will.

On a recent trip to RotorSports Racing I noticed Bryan was getting ready to install one in a customers car - trick is though it uses CO2 instead of NO.

CO2 can be refilled anywhere for way cheaper than nitrous. Don't know the cooling properties of the two but certainly looked like a well-engineered system.

I imagine a person could purchase the n-tercooler and fill their bottle with CO2 as well.....

ive seen ntercooler on the dyno... made a 20 hp difference on a wrx... I think its awesome... however like viper said, i too would probably look into filling it with C02... nitrous is too expensive to not be putting into your engine.

I have heard that nitrous is better because CO2 can be to cold and crack your intercooler. Never tried it just heard.

I'm not sure what this n-tercooler is but if its what I think it is, then it is just spraying the intercooler to cool it down. CO2 would work just fine for this, you just don't want to spray CO2 into your engine. If you are afraid of what nitrous can do to your engine, you don't even want to know what would happen if CO2 got in there.
I don't think there would be a problem with the CO2 ruining the aluminum because, if I remember right from my Chem. class, CO2 isn't that much colder than NO2.
Just some opinions from a NOS user and mechanic.

Wouldn't this be a PITA to "tune" for??? I mean, you aren't going to be on the CO2 all the time...

why not just use water injection, cools the intake and helps with detonation and less refills necessary.
