My rebuild lives!
After many a call to Ray, busted knuckles, an infestation of black widow spiders, and loads of cursing . . .THE FD LIVES AGAIN!
The symptoms of my blown coolant seal can be found in this thread:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/recurring-flooding-issues-812514/
What's been done in the last 3 months:
13B Rebuild by Kevin at Rotary Resurrection with nicer housings and a streetport
Newly rebuilt '95 transmission by Dave at KD rotary
Banzai Racing oil pan brace with stud kit
DIY polyurethane motor mounts with poly pucks under subframe (highly recommended)
IRP stainless OMP lines
JHB OMP conversion kit
Full manual steering conversion with refresh of boots, etc
Injectors cleaned and installed Sard FPR
Simplified and re-wrapped the harness with self fusing silicone tape from McMaster
That's about it off the top of my head aside from cleaning and painting and the like.
After fixing a massive oil leak when we first fired the car up, the car idled like a champ and has been problem free all weekend. I just hope it stays that way.
Our plans in the near future are a fuel pump rewire with installation of a surge tank cover as well as replacing the diff bushings and fabbing up a replica of the kgparts diff brace.
For those of you trying to get back on the road, hang in there. It's worth it!

Congrats in getting the thing back together & running! Took me about 3 months here but wound up with a car I am glad that I bought. Knew when I got it, it would need major work. I can now drive around town without a fire truck following me! LOL! It idles normally at stop lights now & pulls hard too!!!
Swerve safely!!
