Once again, its worth what someone will pay for it.

I could say my car is worth $50k, but if no one wants to pay for it: it doesn't matter.

Well yeah I know that Just filling in the blanks here as to the mystery $7k he talks about. Paying $23k is out of the quesiton for me, it's not worth that. But I will see what is the best he can do.

But if he's not willing to pay that much, doesn't that mean it's not worth that much to him, like he's been maintaining . Would be cool to get your old car back, I know I have a project car I sold that I wouldn't mind getting back , unfortunatly I know the guy that bought it from me tore the **** out of it and I probably wouldn't want it back the way it sits.

That's ridiculous. The cali lawmakers can eat ****, I will never move there for this specific reason. You have to be afraid to drive your FD, as if you're some kind of criminal........

I live in cali and havent really had any problems. I once recived a modified exhaust ticket for being to loud when I was out of town. The next day I went to my local highway patrol office and a sergent came out to look at it. He said start it up, rev it up a little. I did and he said "**** my deisle's louder than that". Signed me off no problem. Its not the state its were you live. I love cali. Snow skiing one weeekend, surfing the next.

Oh yeah I live in a non-smog county too.

Smog laws are coming across country which sucks, its not a matter of if, but when, in most states. Luckily we will all qualify for collector car tags to be able to get around those laws.... As if it was not hard enough already dealing with the car if you want to drive a modified car everyday, now you have to deal with the cops... In PA coming from a show in Harrisburg, Import Wars, multiple cars were being pulled over at a check point type area. Cops had a checklist of things to "look for." This included measuring how far off the ground the front of the car was, decible meter for exhaust noise, ect. A lot of people got BIG tickets. It was terrible.

Ummm...yea if you wanna wait another 10 years? I dunno what the laws are in your state, but in VA, it's for vehicles that are 25 years or older only... That's still quite a ways off. Heck, my '84 FB hasn't even qualified yet!
