My old FD - where is it now?

Anyone know where my old FD is? I'm getting back into the FD market and trying to see if it's for sale by chance.

Any ideas where it is or who has it? Sold it almost 2 years ago to a guy in Wisconsin. Thanks.

allrotor93 01-10-07 07:08 PM

it was on ebay last week but was removed because of a scam

Learn_not2burn 01-10-07 07:16 PM

that car is stupid hot. Amazing. Respect for having such good taste.

Scrapiron7 01-10-07 07:18 PM

I built it from the ground up over 5 1/2 years. Jahnkee in WI bought it 2 years ago, then sold it 1 year later. Now I'm ready to buy it back if it's available. Just need to locate it.

if you have the vin number from old insurance papers or the old bill of sale you could always do a car fax on the vin and find out what state/city it is registered in and go from there. I dont think you will be able to get a contact number but it might help you get a little bit closer

EZMONEY 01-10-07 08:00 PM

Once you find out what city its in can't you talk to the DMV and find out who has a RX-7 registed in that city? Kinda like in 'Gone In 60 Seconds'? I know it was legal at one time to get that info but IDK if they stopped it.
Clean FD man!

Was this car in an issue of super street a while back. It looks familiar? I saw it in the readers rides. I think...

Correct, 17x9. Waited forever for them. They were super light, something like 17.4lbs per rim.

I ended up buying it from him a few months later. But I don't know if you'd still want it...I ended up putting a park bench on the rear. Seats 3 with room to spare... https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...4&postcount=14

Welcome back Bricke. It's been a while :)

If I can find my old FD yeah. I'd rather not start from the ground up considering what I had done. There's a ton of tracks down here I'd like to play around on, and the Lightning makes a damn fine tow truck :)

towing isn't all about HP and TQ ;). An F-150 would be adequate, but I wouldn't tow anything like a car at any regularity, especially depending on the trailer.

don't forget.. quarter mile time of 13.7 and 0-60 in the 5.4

Ties or beats an FD stock.. ;)

Nah I won't be. It was my attempt at humor.

Back to the point, if anyone has a lead, let me know :)

let me rephrase.. doubt shed be good for that..
and considering these numbers... you have added stress on the drivetrain.. youd be at the edge..
even with an aluminum open trailer and base model fd.. including accesories..
youd have to start thinkin about addin an aftermarket tranny cooler..
thought about gettin one for trailer duty as well but decided against it... apologies for the non related post..
;)
